• OutStart plans to implement its OutStart learning content management system software as part of a global project to help Canada's Air Force transform its training operations. The project, Air Force Integrated Information and Learning Environment, is led by prime contractor CAE, and enlists OutStart, xwave, and other companies to help Canada's Air Force build a military training environment.
• Meridian Knowledge Solutions, LLC, is implementing the software-as-a-service (SaaS) version of its learning management system (LMS) for The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston to manage compliance training. The university's 7,200 users will have access to the Meridian LMS, also known as the Training Resource Center (TRC), via a password-protected Website accessible through laptop and desktop computers, as well as PDAs.
• Ascentium Corporation, a marketing and technology consultancy, selected Jobvite to power talent acquisition and help the company make data-driven hiring decisions. Ascentium nearly doubled its workforce in the last year, and chose the Jobvite social recruitment application to speed the hiring process, encourage company collaboration, and allocate recruitment spend effectively.
• The Korn/Ferry Institute launched the Korn/Ferry Institute Website. The new site showcases the firm's entire library of thought leadership, including white papers, studies, videos, podcasts, Webcasts and books, and will serve as the formal repository and home for all Korn/Ferry thought leadership.
