Now that there's peace, there's a fascination with visiting Northern Ireland. Belfast can be done on a day trip from Dublin or as an overnight, with stays at five-star Culloden Estate & Spa or The Merchant Hotel. For some great golfing, Slieve Donard Resort & Spa in County Down has one of the world's top courses, Royal County Down.
Maritz's Jackson and BCD's Reeber think it's a great new "destination within a destination"; but other incentive houses say it will be a hard sell. However, in the wise words of New York Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy, "If we want the peace to last, bringing American tourism to the area will definitely help."
No matter which region you choose for your incentive travel program, your group will experience Ireland's legendary beauty and the warmth and friendliness of the people. As the Irish say, Céad míle fáilte romhat!—a hundred thousand welcomes—and they mean it!
