If it's good enough for the pros, it's good enough for incentive groups. Over in Canada, in Vernon, British Columbia, The Golf Club at The Rise, a Fred Couples Signature Golf Course opened to the public with much fanfare earlier this month. Playing the first round on the new green during the opening ceremony was PGA Tour regular Fred Couples along with Calgary Flames Captain Jarome Iginla, Boston Bruin Chuck Kobasew and former NHL players Brent Gilchrist and Jeff Finley.
"The lake views up here are so incredible. I have such a passion for golf that we really wanted to take our time and build a course that is as stunning as its location," says Fred Couples. "It's exciting now that it's open because I know golfers from all over will wan to get up here and experience it for themselves."
The 18-hole signature course is part of The Rise, a new golf and winery resort overlooking Onagan Lake. Among the amenities available on the property spanning 735 acres are a hotel, village center, winery, vineyards and a lakeside beach club.
