London Planning Premier April 29, 2008 Visit London launches two new web sites
Visit London, the city's official visitor organization, has announced that it will be launching two new Web sites at IMEX. International and German buyers visiting the Visit London stand (F400) can experience both the revamped visitlondon.com/business and brand new London Heathrow Gateway Web site, on special touch screens.
The new content is a product of months of consultation with event organizers, London suppliers and the Visit London Event Solutions team. The site will focus on breaking news and the latest developments on the London event scene, as well as features and case studies about the area.
"We wanted to ensure planners had the right tools to organize their event in our city—from general destination information and the initial search of venues and services, to a comprehensive and easy-to-use request for proposal process and an enhanced marketing tool kit," says Visit London’s business marketing manager, Séverine Ougier. "Tips on how Visit London can unlock the capital’s amazing event opportunities for planners were the main thought process behind the revamp."
In addition, planners can rely on the new London Heathrow Gateway, produced to promote the available meeting space and accommodation at London Heathrow. The Web site also shows some of the incentive and post-conference opportunities around the area.
"London's West region has always been a key player within the London meetings and events scene due to its location near Heathrow airport, its state-of-the-art meetings facilities, and close reach to central London and the rest of the UK," says Visit London's European Sales Manager, Barbara Jamison. "The developments at London Heathrow with the recent opening of Terminal 5 and launch of new and renovated hotels in the vicinity, means that more than ever, the London Heathrow region is reinforcing its position as the gateway to London and the rest of the UK."
