Rymax Releases Merchandise Report March 21, 2007 From the Incentive Newsletter
By Leo Jakobson
Luxury brand representative Rymax Marketing Services has come out with a new whitepaper bringing together industry research showing that merchandise is more effective than cash in rewarding and motivating employees.
The report, "In Praise of Presents: Why Merchandise Trumps Cash," draws on research done by the Incentive Federation, the Forum for People Performance Management and Measurement, and the Incentive Research Federation, explains Kara Sibilia, senior director of project marketing at Pine Brook, N.J.-based Rymax.
"The objective [of the whitepaper] is to educate individuals who run and/or plan to run incentive programs about the many benefits of merchandise incentives," Sibilia says, adding that it "acts as a powerful tool in promoting the switch from cash to non-cash incentives."
