SITE NITE Monday Blowout Returns to Chicago September 05, 2008
By Leo Jakobson
The Society of Incentive and Travel Executives (SITE) is reviving an old tradition at The Motivation Show this year: a big Monday night networking event.
SITE NITE, which will take place at the Peninsula Chicago Hotel from 7 pm to 10pm on September 22, has three purposes, according to Bob Vitagliano, executive director of the International SITE Foundation (ISITE) and principal of V Associates, an incentive consulting firm.
First of all it is one of the main fundraiser for the non-profit ISITE Foundation, which provides research and education to the incentive travel industry, he says. Second, the party, themed Celebrate Coming Together, will celebrate SITE's 35th anniversary.
And finally, Vitagliano says, "We hope it will turn out to be an enormous networking reception. It will be heavily buyer oriented, as the first 135 paying attendees are allowed to bring along a buyer for free. And many are, Vitagliano says. In fact, based on current ticket sales, they expect 400 to 500 people.
Tickets are $75, with discounts for blocks of 10 or more. They can be purchased by emailing SITENITE@wmgpw.com for further information.
